This plugin converts text representations of musical “accidental” symbols into actual symbols.

Displaying the symbols correctly is tricky, since it depends on the user’s operating system, web browser, and installed fonts.

The Accidentals plugin attempts to determine whether the user’s system can display the symbols, and, if it’s not sure, falls back on the typed text.

Bear in mind that even if you see the symbols on your own computer, not all site visitors will necessarily see them.
